Timings change for the retreat ceremony between India and Pakistan at Wagah border

The timing of the retreat ceremony between India and Pakistan at Hussainiwala Border, Wagah Border, and Sadiq Chowki has now been changed. According to the revised schedule, the retreat ceremony will now take place from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM at both borders.

The retreat ceremony, which attracts visitors from both domestic and international locations, takes place daily between India and Pakistan at Wagah Border in Amritsar, Hussainiwala Border in Firozpur, and Sadiq Chowki in Fazilka.

The ceremony involves participation from the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel from India and the Pakistan Rangers from Pakistan. The enthusiasm and patriotism displayed by the soldiers from both countries during the ceremony create a spirited atmosphere, which is immensely inspiring for tourists.

BSF museum

In addition to witnessing the retreat ceremony, visitors are also encouraged to visit the BSF museum located near the Hussainiwala Border in Firozpur district. The museum showcases weapons used by BSF personnel, along with demonstrations of tactics used in challenging situations, aiming to instil enthusiasm and inspire young individuals towards serving the nation and the BSF.

Furthermore, the BSF museum houses the pistol used by martyr Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh to assassinate a British officer, along with original documents of revolutionaries who exchanged information for each other, highlighting their mutual support and camaraderie, which are displayed as a tribute to their sacrifices.
