It wouldn’t be wrong to call versatile actor R. Madhavan aka Maddy “The Midas Touch” because his box office record proves that he has never had a flop film in his career so far. His latest release, “Shaitan,” is an example of how the actor’s touch turns every project into gold at the box office. The actor, who gained fame as Maddy in “Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein,” impressed audiences in “3 Idiots” as Farhan Qureshi and became a highlight among audiences with his extended cameo role in “Rang De Basanti.” In “Shaitan,” he scared audiences with his role and delivered a hit film, crossing the 200 crore mark at the box office.

Not only at the box office, but Madhavan is also ruling the hearts of audiences with his stellar performance in “Shaitan.” A fan wrote, “R. Madhavan’s performance in ‘Shaitan’ is so convincing that I actually started to dislike him for a moment.” While another wrote, “Who knew R. Madhavan could be this scary.” Another social media user wrote, “The whole movie becomes best whenever R. Madhavan comes in the scene. National award loading for R. Madhavan!” The success of “Shaitan” establishes that when Madhavan, aka Maddy, turns bad, audiences get excited.

Talking about Madhavan, trade analyst Akshay Rathi said, “What Madhavan has done with ‘Shaitan’ is very exciting because you are comparing it with his last theatrical release ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.’ From romantic hero Narayan in the 70s and 80s to warrior Waranraj – he portrays the versatility of a true-blue phenomenal actor. He has done whatever genre you can imagine and has done every role with enthusiasm and perfection. This is what makes him one of the most exciting talents.”

While “Shaitan” is creating a buzz at the box office, fans are eagerly waiting to see what else Madhavan has in store for them. The actor’s upcoming projects include “Adhirshasali” and “Test” in Tamil and “The Untold Story of C. Sankaran Nair” in Hindi.
