PF Passbook: How to withdraw money from your PF account? Learn the step-by-step process. If you have been unemployed for 2 months or more, you can withdraw the entire amount from your PF account.

EPF Withdrawal: If you are a member of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), you can withdraw money from your Employee Provident Fund (EPF) account. According to EPF withdrawal rules, EPF account holders can withdraw a partial or full amount based on their eligibility. Generally, the entire EPF amount can be withdrawn when a member has been unemployed for two months or more. Additionally, EPFO members can also apply for partial withdrawals from their PF accounts for various reasons, including:

  • Self or child’s marriage
  • Medical emergencies
  • Buying a house
  • Repaying a home loan
  • House Renovation

Note that for most partial withdrawals, the member should be an EPF subscriber for a minimum of five or seven years. If you change jobs, the remaining balance in your EPF passbook will be automatically transferred to the new employer.
